I have lived in Middle Tennessee all my life and I’ve watched this area grow and change from a smattering of sleepy, one-horse villages to vibrant and charming towns connected by a love of heirloom lifestyles and big city shenanigans. Many who visit find it hard to pinpoint exactly what makes this place so special. They recognize the natural beauty, the historic roots, the gentler pace, but they struggle to articulate their enthusiasm. I think, unless you’ve been a witness to Middle Tennessee’s significant growth, you can’t understand how truly remarkable it is. Because this slice of heaven has grown leaps and bounds, but kept its eye on the prize of rural amiability and pastoral pride. From Brentwood to Spring Hill, from Franklin to Thompson’s Station, city planners have worked long and hard to ensure preservation of a unique and truly special lifestyle and nowhere has that preservationist’s spirit been more appreciated than in Nolensville.
Nolensville chamber of commerce promotes their burgeoning town with the following tagline: COMMUNITY, HISTORY, PROXIMITY. When Nissan International announced plans to establish their headquarters in Williamson County, a huge housing boom was born and Nolensville took the brunt of it. With careful preparation and development, this town is still recognizable as the darling hamlet is once was, but can now take advantage of new roads and quicker routes to Metro Nashville. Thanks to some forward-thinking planners, Nolensville is now in the very enviable position of offering a quick commute to the big city and a slice of the sweet, country life when you come home. And, best of all, Nolensville is now home to some incredible neighborhoods and absolutely gorgeous homes.
I’ve written before about Benington before. Located on the eastern edge of Williamson County, the Benington community is composed of half-acre wooded home sites and homes range from $650,000 – $850,000. It features fantastic green spaces, tree-lined boulevards, pop-up parks, miles of walking and hiking trails and a luxurious community pool. And, it’s also home to a really wonderful new home… well, several, but today I want to brag about 212 Belgian Road. Built by Legend Homes, this four bedroom, four and a half bath home boasts an enviable open concept floor plan. One of the features I love most is the guest bedroom suite located on the main level. More and more, buyers are telling us how much they love the flexibility that two main level bedrooms provide, but often, the second bedroom is really an office/craft room/living room that could be a second bedroom. This bedroom is truly a bedroom, with an attached bathroom and walk-in closet. Then, there’s still a dedicated study located behind the bedroom that opens to the spacious family room, gourmet kitchen and breakfast room. The master suite is sublime with a huge master bathroom and walk-in closet that opens to the laundry room. Brilliant!
Upstairs, there are two more en-suite bedrooms with walk-in closets and a huge bonus room overlooking the backyard. There’s also a stunning backyard covered porch situated to take advantage of the mature trees that line the rear of the home. With more than 4,000 square feet and tons of upgraded amenities (coffered and beamed ceilings, high end finishes in bathrooms and kitchen!) and a price tag of $789,000, this home can’t be beat! I’d love to show it to you and help you fall in love with Benington!
