At 6:30 on a weekday morning, the first lights on at 7344 Nolensville Road belong to Jeff's Bagel Run in Suite 301. It opened on April 17, 2026, as the brand's first Tennessee location, serving scratch-made bagels, spreads, and coffee. It closes at 2 p.m., seven days a week. A few doors down, Mountain Mike's Pizza in Suite 602 runs a weekday lunch buffet along with dine-in, carryout, and delivery.
Both sit inside Village Green, the 90,473-square-foot center anchored by Publix that opened in fall 2025. At the one-year mark, it would be easy to think of Village Green as a single new shopping center. The Town of Nolensville's own commercial permit records show more than that. New businesses are filling in Nolensville Road on both sides of the historic district, with Village Green holding the north end. The road they all face is the one part of the corridor not scheduled to change for years.
A Year of Suites Filling In
Atlanta-based Watkins Real Estate Group broke ground in July 2024 and aimed for a summer 2025 delivery. Sources disagree on the exact opening month. JLL's leasing announcement says October 2025, while Mayor Gallik told the town's annual address that Village Green opened "last November." In either case, the center did not open all at once. The town's commercial construction project list records the date each suite received its certificate of occupancy, the sign-off that clears a space for use. Read in order, those dates show a center filling in over nine months.
| When the town signed off | Village Green tenants |
|---|---|
| October 2025 | Publix |
| November 2025 | Club Pilates, Chipotle, Hand and Stone |
| December 2025 | First Watch, Abbott's Frozen Custard, Physician's Urgent Care |
| January 2026 | Great Clips, Floyd's Barber Shop |
| February 2026 | Tropical Smoothie Café |
| March 2026 | The Amish House, Chase Bank, Heartland Dental, Jeff's Bagel Run |
| May 2026 | Mountain Mike's Pizza |
| July 2026 | Acapella Nail Salon |
Jersey Mike's shows up earlier in the same records, with a certificate of occupancy dated November 2024. Mountain Mike's opening also came in stages. It announced a grand-opening celebration for June 15, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m., and the Williamson Herald later covered a ribbon-cutting gathering there on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
On May 6, 2026, JLL announced the center was 100% leased. The three newest additions were Verizon, The Amish House, which sells handcrafted Amish furniture, and Tipsy Cow, a wine and spirits shop. Two spaces were still being built at the latest update. The town lists Tipsy Cow in Suite 302 as permitted and under construction as of July 7, 2026. BeMobile, a Verizon retailer, announced an August 2026 opening for its Nolensville store, and its location page now lists regular weekly hours. CoStar has since named Village Green commercial development of the year.
The Town Budget Felt It Too
Village Green has had a measurable effect on the town's finances. At the annual address on April 30, Mayor Gallik said the opening "has had a big impact to our town budget, bringing new businesses, added convenience, and increased sales tax to the town." Town Manager Victor Lay also pointed to revenue coming directly from Publix.
That revenue counts for more in a town that says it is still catching up. In the same address, Gallik said Nolensville's peak year for residential building was 2019, after rapid growth from 2015 to 2020. Lay said 2,000 homes are already approved to be built. The new storefronts are opening in a town that already has many households waiting nearby.
South of the Historic District, the Same Pattern Is Starting
The rest of the town's permit list shows the pattern isn't limited to Village Green. Read south to north by street number, Nolensville Road has a second cluster of recent projects below the historic core:
- 7146 Nolensville Road. Little River Pediatrics, project complete in November 2025.
- 7150 Nolensville Road. 7 Brew, plans approved and awaiting a permit fee as of April 27, 2026.
- 7177 Nolensville Road, Suites 4B and 5B. Duo Play Cafe, permitted and under construction as of June 18, 2026.
- 7180 Nolensville Road. Nolo Prime, certificate of occupancy October 2025, plus a completed TN Kids expansion in February 2026.
- 7186 Nolensville Road, Suite A. Pita Way, permitted and under construction as of March 11, 2026.
- 7240 Nolensville Road. Crowne Culture salon and an Anytime Fitness expansion, both complete in 2025.
Duo Play Cafe's own website says it is not open yet and gives "this fall" as its tentative opening, with no exact date. For Pita Way and 7 Brew, the town records above are the most recent dated evidence available. Both should be treated as works in progress until their doors open.
The Old Town Is Now Between the Two Clusters
By street number, the historic district falls between those two groups. The Historic Nolensville School at 7248 Nolensville Road is home to the Nolensville Farmers Market, set up in the school's parking lot and gym. Just north of it, the town lists a renovation for J.Klos Fine Jewelers at 7278 and a new barber shop, Luis Barber Shop, at 7287, both permitted and under construction. The Nolensville Feed Mill at 7280 came before the Historic Zoning Commission in April 2025 with a proposal for a new rear deck. The town's latest entry still shows that project as permitted and under construction, and no later record confirms it was finished.
As a result, a single trip down Nolensville Road now passes a fully leased Publix center, a historic core with its own small projects, and a second group of new storefronts still under way. October is a good month to see all three in one morning. The farmers market's schedule lists Saturday markets on Oct. 10, 17, 24, and 31, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Another Grocery Anchor Is on the Way
Village Green's Publix will soon have company. Kroger at 8000 Marketplace, part of the Darcy development, was permitted and under construction as of May 5, 2026. The town also lists a Kroger Fueling Center at 8010 Marketplace, not yet submitted. At the April 30 address, Lay said the Darcy Kroger should be finished in about 15 months, which points to roughly mid-to-late 2027. He described that as an estimate, not a set date.
The same presentation described the Nolensville Town Square development as underway, with 205 dwelling units and some commercial space. Its website promotes future retail, dining, and office space but doesn't yet name any tenants.
The Road Itself Stays the Same for Now
Nearly every business above faces Nolensville Road, which is the one part of the corridor with a long timeline. The mayor put the Nolensville Road project at $104.5 million. For comparison, the town's normal operating budget is close to $12 million, and Nolensville has put $500,000 toward design. Per TDOT, right-of-way acquisition starts in 2030 and construction in 2036. The nearer-term change was a temporary traffic light at the Kidd Road intersection, which the mayor said would begin this summer.
The town has also flagged a funding question behind that schedule. Gallik called a pending appeal over impact fees "the biggest issue we have." If the current ruling stands, she said, the town would have to repay $8 million and could lose its ability to collect those fees in the future.
The Next Few Weeks on the Corridor
The fall calendar runs along the same stretch of road. After the final Saturday farmers market on Oct. 31, the Nolensville branch of the Williamson County Public Library at 915 Oldham Drive is holding free Halloween Bingo that afternoon from 3 to 4 p.m. Registration is required. On Saturday, Nov. 7, the town's Veterans Day parade starts at 11 a.m. at Rolling Hills Community Church and runs down Nolensville Road through the Historic District to Nolensville Park Road.
Village Green's newest suites, the projects at 7150 through 7186, and the old town between them all line that same route.
