Legacy of Excellence And Attention-To-Detail – Hidden Valley Homes

“If you saw me on-site some days, you might think I was a project manager,” Jim explains and he actually has four capable ones on staff. “We are very hands on, in the field, walking houses, kicking dirt and making sure we are building to the standard I’ve set for my company and self 36 years ago.”

Originally from Western Pennsylvania, Spangler’s company name is actually an homage to his Mid-Atlantic roots inspired by an area ski resort. In 1999, he was transferred by a national building company to the Nashville area and knew years later he didn’t want to move again so he put down roots and set out on his own.

If you visit Hidden Valley Homes website here, you’ll see their mission is quality without compromise and creating exceptional homes which exceed customer expectations. Jim says one of his biggest compliment is when a former building client refers to Hidden Valley Homes as “a great builder.”

“Years later, when the customer understands what a great home we’ve built and shares these comments with other people, it is a great feeling. I like helping people solve problems, find their dreams and be excited about the process. I always want to be known as being fair to my subcontractors and customers, building a good home and bringing things to this area which people hadn’t done before,” he explains.

Forward-Thinking, New Franklin Home

Jim and his team regularly travel outside the market to research new ideas and products to help create an even better Hidden Valley home.

“I like to explore new ways of doing things and know Middle Tennessee is definitely ready to embrace new design styles and products which would create a better home while thinking about the future like electric car charging plugs as we shift to more diverse fuel sources,” Jim said. “The new project Hidden Valley Homes is building in Franklin and listed with the LCT Team embraces this fresh perspective from exterior and interior design elements as well as technology.”

Set to be built on 22+ bucolic acres fronting Hillsboro Road in Williamson County, the Transitional Modern style home will be 7,536 square feet with five bedrooms and six full and two half baths. What will set it apart is the fresh exterior choices. Inside, there will be a free-floating staircase, modern kitchen with two islands and an imported European range, resort-style pool and five-car garage with higher ceilings to accommodate a potential car lift and electric car charging outlet. “Jim builds an extraordinary home and the Hillsboro Road project will be another incredible example of this,” Lisa said. “The home will be filled with an abundance of windows too overlooking a beautiful countryside and it comes with a charming barn and guest house.”

Magnificent is how Jim describes working with Lisa Culp Taylor and her team. “I’ve been working with Lisa for over 15 years. She and her staff are true professionals,” Jim said.

Future Of Home Building

Hidden Valley Homes is also building on custom homes sites and in exclusive Middle Tennessee neighborhoods. As Jim continues to embrace change and a fresh perspective in home building, he is also responding to the diminishing amount of land in Franklin and Brentwood by expanding opportunities into more locations throughout the Nashville area including a mixed-density residential development of townhomes, carriage houses and stacked flats in East Nashville.
