Thanks to a multitude of mobile corporate execs, juicy properties such as this often pop up on the local market, but they may not last
In Wiliamson County, corporate transfers seem to be a way of life.
Such is the story of Sheri and Herb Aaberg, who moved from Colorado to Brentwood in 2012. They had planned to have a five year “adventure” in the Nashville area before returning to Colorado. Instead, just two years after moving here, they are off to Chattanooga, thanks to another corporate transfer.
Consequently, the home they purchased and have loved is now on the market.
Their 4,887-square-foot Sunset Road house, built in 2006 by John Weiland, is listed for $849,900. Lisa Culp Taylor with Bob Parks Realty is the listing agent.
Sheri Aaberg says they are disappointed that they have to leave this home, which she says has a perfect floor plan and loads of privacy. It is situated within a medium-size development, Wetherbrooke.
“We have two of our four bedrooms on the main floor; they are at opposite ends of the house,” she said. “It’s a terrific design for family living as well as when you’re having over-night guests.
“Each bedroom has its own bath. It’s just an incredible home, suitable to formal or informal living and entertaining.”
The half-acre lot backs to up to 10 acres of commons area.
“That fact, plus the landscaping in the back, provides all the privacy in the world,” she said. “There’s even a great spot where a pool could go and still be surrounded by mature landscaping. While the landscaping as really nice when we purchased the home, we’ve reworked and added to it. The outdoor living space offers a peaceful respite.”
Taylor says the home is filled with some super amenities.

“There’s a nature area behind the school, so there’s a sight and sound buffer. Children can walk to school on a sidewalk,” she said. “We’re zoned for Brentwood Middle and High Schools. You just couldn’t ask for a better location.”
She says the neighborhood is wonderful and very social.
“We’ve enjoyed all aspects of living here,” she said. “The house is great, the neighbors are fantastic and we have such a private setting. It’s difficult to leave all this. I hope we find something in Chattanooga that we like as much. It will be tough to do so.”
