Previously, we shared our favorite home stores in the Middle Tennessee area here. Now, it is spring and we are so excited to get outdoors and enjoy life!

Beginning in the downtown Franklin area by the Harpeth River, you’ll find Reed’s Produce & Garden Center on 342 4th Avenue North. This is a favorite for Realtor Lisa Culp Taylor.

“Ms. Reed’s in downtown Franklin has beautiful hanging baskets and ferns. I also love picking up fresh vegetables while I’m there. They are so nice and helpful,” Lisa said.

Also in the downtown Franklin area is Patti’s Flowers on Columbia Avenue. Realtor Margaret Orton says they have the biggest selection of the most vibrant and colorful flowering plants of any garden center in the area!

Moving on to the Grassland area, you’ll find Hewitt Garden and Design Center. If you’ve driven past it on Hillsboro Road, Realtor Amy Pappas said notice the great positive messages on their sign. “Hewitt’s also has a wonderful and large selection of shrubs, trees, flowers and herbs. Their gift shop is also filled with so many adorable home and garden décor items,” Amy said.

Heading over the Brentwood, Realtor Vickie Freas says to be sure and stop by Mark Bates Landscaping & Garden Center on Franklin Road. Considered a purveyor of quality plants, trees, shrubs, and accessories for home and garden, Vickie says they have a great selection of huge and healthy plants. The staff is also very knowledgeable.

Worth The Drive – Fast’s Greenery>

So far we’ve been sharing our favorite spots around the Franklin and Brentwood area, but, there is one place which is worth the drive says Lisa Culp Taylor.

“I’ll definitely make a special trip out to the Arrington/Triune area to visit Fast’s Greenery. They have great hanging plants that are HUGE,” Lisa said. Head to their Facebook page to find daily updates.
