My savvy and hardworking colleague, Marabeth Poole and I, have had the privilege of listing an absolutely gorgeous home in the heart of Green Hills. Marabeth joined the LCT team last year and has been blazing a trail in the Middle Tennessee real estate market. When we were offered this home, we sat down to talk marketing strategy. It wasn’t that we couldn’t find what made this home special. It’s that we found too many things that made the home special. We wondered if, in aptly describing this home, we’d make it sound too good to be true! Ultimately, we decided that it deserved its day in the spotlight. We weren’t going to hold back. We were going to share all its goodness and now I share it with you, my dear readers!
When most people think of Green Hills, they think of that tiny strip of Hillsboro Road between Hobbs Road and Woodmont Boulevard. It’s packed with shops and The Mall at Green Hills and restaurants and bistros and coffee shops and bookstores. I love a good day spent in Green Hills, but I’ll admit this little stretch can take some getting used to. It’s crowded and if you don’t know how to navigate the back roads and find the hidden parking venues, it can be overwhelming. If that’s all you know of Green Hills, though, you are missing out on an amazing community that features breathtaking landscapes. Exhibit A? 1101 Chateau Lane… this incredible home has been immaculately maintained and renovated, but it’s the setting that can’t be redone, replicated or enhanced. It’s already pure perfection! From the multiple balconies and porches, you’ll be awestruck with the views and natural beauty that surrounds this home. This white brick of the expansive façade is complemented by dark finishes on windows and doors and surrounded by professional landscaping. Indoors… well, that’s where the magic really begins!
This home is the ideal blend of exclusive and approachable, luxurious yet inviting, expansive yet cozy. The lower level entryway features stunning marble floors, a sweeping staircase and wainscoting and wrought iron accents. A small study located just off the foyer features more of those amazing views, while a lower level bedroom (the home’s second master) is outfitted with a stylish neutral palette, spacious dimensions, soft carpeting, crown molding and two double door closets. The rest of the lower level includes another exquisitely appointed bedroom, a Pinterest-worthy laundry room, a luxurious home office, and a state of the art theatre room.
One of the unique things about this home is that most of the “shared” living spaces are on the upper level, but when you see the views from the dining room, family room and kitchen, you’ll understand why! The large formal dining room features a tray ceiling with cove lighting that is mirrored in the dreamy gourmet, French-inspired kitchen. A wood burning fireplace sits opposite the expansive white cabinetry and granite countertops while a large island is located in the middle of the kitchen and runs the entire length of the room. The family room (more vaulted ceilings, more fireplaces, more fabulous details!) features walls of windows and doors that open to Juliet balconies, ensuring the space is flooded with beautiful, natural light. The primary master, also located on the upper level, includes another fireplace, gleaming hardwoods, a sitting room, elegant master bathroom and his and her closets.
The home also includes an elevator and so many designer upgrades that it would take pages and pages to adequately describe them all. Most of the home has been newly painted in designer colors and many rooms features antique lighting, vintage mirrors and the like. To me, this home feels romantic and whimsical. It’s a show home, to be sure, but mostly it’s just a home that has been carefully curated and maintained and one that will make some new owner feel very lucky indeed!
