It should come as no surprise when I claim to be Franklin, Tennessee’s biggest fan. One of my very favorite things to do here is to spend an evening at Arrington Vineyard… pack a picnic basket, gather a few friends, throw down a blanket on the hills overlooking the vineyards and just exhale. Franklin (and surrounding areas) are incredibly beautiful. Anyone who has spent a day here knows that, but Arrington simply takes your breath away. Whether you’re all in for a full wine-tasting tour or just coming for a quick picnic, time spent at Arrington is something incredibly special. Now imagine that you could live there and experience that peace and tranquility all the time!
7053 Lanceleaf Drive is a newly built home in The Hideaway at Arrington. Billed as “the ultimate escape to live and play,” this new community features luxury homes situated on an 18 hole golf course with a spacious Clubhouse, resort-style pool, tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, and is situated amongst fishing ponds and walking and biking trails. Beyond that… the scenery. As I said, this property is some of the most beautiful in Middle Tennessee and the developers have done a wonderful job of preserving the natural beauty. They know the location and bucolic splendor is one of The Hideaway’s main selling points and they’ve taken great care to preserve it. This home, built by my brilliant friends at Legend Homes, is — in a word — AMAZING. It’s just so, so pretty that words somewhat fail me. I’m overwhelmed by the gorgeousness of the exterior with its steeply peeked roofline and dormers, it’s gray brick façade and pretty farmhouse shutters. It’s a 10! And that’s before you even open the front door!
Double farmhouse doors open to one of the coolest foyers I’ve ever seen and I definitely won’t be able to describe it properly. A dual staircase, accented with bright white spindles and hardwood treads, sits perpendicular to the front door and showcases a delicate arch that brings a graceful and romantic feel to this important introductory space. A formal living room (or home office) and dining room flank the entryway and are outfitted with custom upgrades including crown molding, board and batten paneling and lighting fixtures that make me green with envy! The front hall opens to a huge, light-filled great room with fireplace, built-ins and a wet bar. This space flows into the simply delicious kitchen that would make Julia child weep with joy. Outfitted with state of the art appliances, the kitchen features a gigantic farmhouse-style island, white shaker cabinets, a furniture style vent hood and a textured subway tile backsplash with a herringbone accent piece above the stove. I want, I want, I want… The main level master suite is done in warm gray tones and features one of the most amazing chandeliers I’ve ever seen. Again, with the house envy! The master bath is stunning and includes dual vanities, a stand-alone tub, walk-in shower and opens to a walk-in closet with custom built-ins.
The home also includes four secondary bedrooms (one on the main level) and a spacious bonus room. Obviously, the outdoor living spaces are impeccably designed to take advantage of all the natural beauty that surrounds the home. A large outdoor covered porch is situated just off the great room and includes a fireplace, recessed lighting and audio speakers and a ceiling fan. At the bottom of the porch, a large patio area provides plenty of room for sunning and grilling. So how about it? Has my soliloquy to this home convinced you? If not, then we really need to schedule a showing. We’ll make a day of it, starting with a tour of this fantastic home and ending with a sip or two of Arrington’s best vintage!
