Pioneering fresh home design in Middle Tennessee, second generation builder Zach Goodgame is creating more than beautiful homes but a lasting legacy with his company, Cornerstone Construction, including his latest project, Nelson Creek, with the LCT Team – Parks sales assistance.

A Franklin native, Zach founded his company seven years ago and has quickly put his mark on the area’s architectural landscape with an enthusiastic and talented team as well as a love and appreciation of his community.
“Growing up in Williamson County gives me a different perspective on the homes and communities we are creating,” says Zach. “I’m also a dad of three and want what we are creating to mean something to them later on in life, too, and be something they can be proud of.”
One trait which distinguishes Zach as a builder, says his sister, Kaci Goodgame, is having no fear of trying new things and saying yes to clients. Kaci also serves asoffice manager and runs the finances for the company while continuing the legacy of her late father’s company, Concrete Unlimited, which she co-owns with Zach.
“I hear people say all the time ‘wow, Zach builds a great house.’ It sounds simple but it is true. One of the creatives we collaborate with is Studio 36 Design’s Stephanie Handley, who is always amazed Zach isn’t put off by a client’s vision and says yes, let’s try thiseven if it’s something new or challenging,” Kaci said.
Having a great vision and eye for design is what helps make a Cornerstone home unique says Allen Bledsoe,principal project manage.
“In a Cornerstone home, you’ll find fresh ideas and elements like rare wood species on ceilings and accent textures. We strive tomatch a home to its physical surroundings,while creating something special.” Allen says.
There are a lot of ways the team is creating the Cornerstone difference.
“We think outside the box, go above and beyond, uphold great customer relations and don’t cut corners,” says Zach. “For it to be a Cornerstone home it has to be both functional and creative. We designa floor plan that flows while incorporating textures and materials thatmake it different from the rest.”
Ultimately, his goal is to create high-end homes with a custom flair using extraordinary building elements.
“I love bringing the outdoors in and I want people to wonder, how it was done,” Zach said. “I also care about how a home functions long-term which is important to my family.”

In the College Grove neighborhood, Nelson Creek, designing homes to match the wooded landscape is essential to the team.
“This will be another good example of matching the homesite to the home. Zach has a great vision and eye for design knowing what will look good. As a team, we have to come up with a way to make it happen,” Allen says.
