Some Great News! March 2011 Sales Statistics are showing improvements.

The Williamson County Association of Realtors ® has released the March 2011 Sales Statistics. According to RealTracs there were 260 residential and condominium closings in March. This compares to 235 for the same period in 2010. A 12.8% increase! This is a great improvement and since 2009 we have seen an improvement in March numbers every year.

The median price has continued to decrease, however, Williamson County is holding steady under the current economic situation. The decrease helps balance out the market and the average days on market has decreased due to homes being priced appropriately. The number of homes on the market has decreased as well which also makes the market more balanced.

It will likely be a long time, if ever, that the market will be at 2007 levels. The Williamson County Real Estate market, however, has faired well compared to many markets. The steady increase in sales is a good sign of an improving market. A slow but steady move forward builds a more stable market for years to come.
