Color – Trending In Kitchens
Colors in the kitchen are changing. Antique brass and satin nickel seem to be making a come back in the hardware. These tones can make your home feel cozy or modern depending on how you pair them. Gray-toned hard woods are also a big hit in kitchens at the moment, according to LCT Team Realtor Michelle Arnold, recently quoted in Greater Nashville House & Home magazine.
“Also popular for kitchens are clean white cabinets and creative herringbone or subway tile backsplashes, especially in the farmhouse style kitchens,” Michelle said.
Appliance Updates
In the appliance world, LCT Team Realtor Vickie Freas has seen a change in refrigerators and the locations of microwaves.
“Appliances continue to offer many of the same great features. One of the trends I’ve seen is refrigerators having a freezer drawer on the bottom instead of the top and microwaves being built into bottom cabinets. I think we’ll see much more of the microwave drawer as islands keep increasing in size.”
