Middle TN Featured In Nationally

In a recent Haute Residence column, Realtor Lisa Culp Taylor outlined her reasons why the Middle Tennessee market is so vibrant.
“From no income tax and quality of life to music and a diverse economy, our area is experiencing unprecedented times during a world-wide pandemic. One of my favorite reasons Middle Tennessee is becoming this place to live is the change of seasons. You get to experience four definite seasons in Nashville and each have their own unique beauty. I live in Franklin, just outside of Nashville, and the holidays in this city are so charming, just like a postcard.”

Many of the homes which Taylor has recently sold are wrapped by the rolling hills of Tennessee and pretty indigenous trees like oak, maple, dogwood and the Tulip Poplar, the state’s official tree. “You can definitely find privacy and peaceful living in Tennessee.”

Realtor Vickie Freas agrees, “I believe Middle Tennessee has much going for it; mild climate, low taxes, family friendly and a great quality of life. There is so much chaos going on in the world right now in cities across the nation, Tennessee offer peace and prosperity.”
Escaping difficult living conditions, Realtor Margaret Orton recently represented buyers from South Africa who chose Franklin due to low taxes, highly rated schools, proximity to good healthcare, entertainment and quality of life. “People come to Middle Tennessee to enjoy a more moderate climate, some to be near family, and all say they enjoy a great quality of life,” Margaret said.

Reshuffling our lives is why Realtor Amy Pappas thinks the market is so hot.

“We are spending so much more time at home these days and the market is reflecting the need for more space! There are so many buyers looking for bigger yards, pools, more square footage, and a home office. Nashville and the surrounding counties have become highly desirable places to live because of many things like low property tax, no state income tax, central location, and being the hub for large corporations,” Amy said.

She thinks it is definitely a sellers market with many homes having multiple offers. “My Witherspoon listing was under contract with multiple offers on the first day!”
And in more national press, Oprah magazine released their list of top 60 small towns you may have not heard of but should visit in 2020 and Franklin, Tennessee was on it.
The magazine shared, “about 21 miles south of Nashville is a much quieter downtown experience that still offers tons of culture. Wind your way through antique shops and restaurants, then catch a live show at one of their award-winning venues, like the Franklin Theatre.”

Outdoor Living Proving Incredibly Popular

Luxury homes with incredible outdoor living are very popular this summer says Lisa Culp Taylor in a recent interview for the Tennessean.

“This summer has been especially strong for luxury home sales. In one 30 day period, I sold three Trace Construction homes in Franklin. Each sold for more than $3.5 million.I think luxury is different things for different people and I try to be careful about that term. Throughout our market, all price points are hot right now. A dream home, whether it is luxury or not, is the dream for that person and that is something we really value and respect,” she said.
